The customer engages in a deep-dive consultative walk-through with Chris to discover their home or small business outdoor living and entertainment potential! During the one-and-a-half hour walk-through discovery, Chris carefully listens, takes note, and approaches the customer’s home empathically. Chris will articulate the landscape, pointing out existing elements and challenges, and providing ideas that suit a developing understanding of customer style as well as existing or as-built home architectural and land parameters. Chris is able to read and seamlessly integrate architectural plans and encourages an ergonomic approach. The walk-through is followed by a formal, written summary that: (1) unearths customer ideas and aspirations; (2) spells out existing land and home architectural parameters as well as as-built home architectural drawings (2) provides valuable creative and pragmatic conceptual input; (3) addresses preliminary understanding of customer time horizon for execution; (4) integrates the customer’s overarching financial priorities and life goals as they may pertain to their cherished coastal real estate. It doesn’t end there. Chris sets up a follow-up call to discuss the summary, address the customer’s evolving picture, and discuss next steps.

Chris’ Project management is most often integrated with boots-on-the-ground craftsmanship. Project management pricing is not based on an arbitrary percentage of the value of the job, but rather Chris’ knowledge of the estimated hours involved to manage hands-on partnership and cooperation with trusted boutique subcontractors. This ensures accuracy and fairness of price as well as expediency of quality execution.

$10,000 - $500,000+
Chris’ accommodates diverse perspectives, styles, and budgets. He is not limited to a bucolic, rustic signature and possesses the ability for modern and contemporary style. However, there is a common denominator. The custom build process seldom possesses Economies of Scale. This is not a moment for Henry Ford or the creation of homogeneous widgets produced at high volume and with haste. Chris approaches the landscape as an efficient artist, custom craftsman, and effective project manager. The end product is founded on a prerequisite comprehensive customer understanding of both “the look” and the cost, down to the details. Projects are scrupulously quoted and include a transparent safety margin to avoid unwanted surprises. Chris has upper management experience and insight working as an employee for conventional landscape outfits. He knows to keep “operating” down and develops cross-comparison spreadsheets and data to remain competitive in price while providing a superior product. He does not hastily “bang out” projects as do most volume-driven landscape companies. Chris employs the navy SEAL mantra: “slow is smooth, smooth is fast” as well as the carpenter’s “measure twice and cut once”. In most cases, Chris provides an unparalleled two-year parts and labor warranty on both stonework and plantings and extends the benefit of his business-to-business contractor pricing to his customers rather than tacking on an arbitrary mark-up.
